Our story began with a simple introduction to the fascinating world of honey bees—an introduction made by someone who would soon become not only my very best friend, but also my husband.

I was a little intimidated by these tiny, busy creatures at first. But it didn't take long for that uncertainty to blossom into a deep love, respect, and admiration for these remarkable little pollinators. Over the years, honey bees have become an integral part of our world, while teaching us the importance of respectfully co-existing within theirs.

 

Our understanding of these extraordinary creatures continues to grow each and every day, accompanied by an overwhelming sense of gratitude for being welcomed into their world and for the privilege of sharing in two of their most treasured gifts—raw honey and beautiful, pure beeswax.

As honey naturally found its way into our daily lives and onto our table, we began to notice its absence from our skincare routine. Like many people, we had been surrounded by store-bought products filled with synthetic and unnecessary ingredients. At the same time, we were discovering the remarkable qualities of pure beeswax, particularly its beautiful connection to the simple ritual of candlelight.

What began as curiosity gradually became a meaningful lifestyle shift within our humble home.

Inspired by the extraordinary qualities of raw honey—nature's beautifully crafted food—and pure beeswax, we embarked on an ongoing journey of learning, experimenting, creating, and discovering ways to care for our skin more naturally, while embracing the simple pleasures and timeless beauty of beeswax.

After plenty of trial, error, patience, and passion, From the Hive was born in 2014.

Today, every one of our soaps and skincare creations is meticulously handcrafted in small batches, with raw honey at the heart of our formulations and a thoughtful appreciation for ingredients gifted to us by Mother Nature herself.

Our Honey Soaps, skincare products and pure PEI Beeswax Candles are lovingly handmade, hand-cut, and hand-wrapped. Because each piece passes through our hands, no two are ever exactly alike—giving every creation its own unique character and a little piece of the hands and hearts that made it.

Above all, From the Hive is our way of celebrating the remarkable gifts of the hive, the beauty of simplicity, and the importance of living a little more consciously alongside the natural world.
